Project Description:
We are embarking on a project to support Human Rights Defenders in Jordan and Bahrain. Researchers will conduct specialized research and report on the country’s situation of human rights defenders. Senior Legal Advisors will provide legal assistance for human rights defenders and contribute valuable insights to the research and reports.
Qualifications:
• Based on one of the listed countries: Jordan / Bahrain
• Demonstrated experience supporting HRDs, freedom of expression and assembly, marginalized and vulnerable groups, the Rule of Law, and/or the legal profession’s independence.
• In-depth knowledge of human rights monitoring and reporting methodology and practice
• Demonstrated gender awareness and sensitivity and an ability to integrate a gender perspective into tasks and activities
• Ability to independently draft a report according to HuMENA standards
• Ability to communicate in Arabic
