MENA Diaspora Paving Road to Justice: What Is Strategic Litigation and Why It Matters

On the occasion of the “10 Days of Activism for MENA Diaspora” and in parallel with the efforts of the diaspora from the Middle East and North Africa to achieve justice through strategic litigation, such as the courts of Koblenz and Frankfurt, which seek justice for the victims of the Syrian regime, HuMENA for Human Rights and Civic Engagement launches the guide “The Diaspora Paving the Way to Justice – What is strategic litigation, and why it matters?”

The guide explains the role of the diaspora in strategic litigation and outlines some of its advantages and disadvantages. It also discusses some of the key considerations involved in using litigation to effect broad systemic change and how the diaspora can build effective advocacy campaigns to support the strategic litigation process.

The guide is available in both English and Arabic
