Are you passionate about activism, human rights, and democracy? HuMENA is looking for a Communications Intern to assist with our advocacy and communications efforts in Lebanon and across the MENA region. This paid internship provides a unique opportunity to contribute to impactful projects while gaining practical experience.
Key Responsibilities
– Develop and implement communication strategies for HuMENA’s initiatives.
– Create and curate engaging content for social media, the website, and newsletters.
– Draft press releases, reports, and advocacy materials in both Arabic and English.
– Track and analyze media coverage relevant to HuMENA’s mission.
– Assist in planning and promoting events, webinars, and campaigns.
Qualifications
– Fluency in both Arabic and English (required).
– Residing in Lebanon or available to work remotely.
– Strong understanding of the human rights and civic landscape in the MENA region.
– Genuine interest in human rights and democracy.
– Background in communications, media, journalism, or related fields.
– Good knowledge of social media management and digital marketing tools.
– Strong writing, editing, and creative skills.
– Ability to work independently and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
– Willingness to travel for meetings or conferences if necessary.
