MENA Diaspora Paving Road to Justice: What Is Strategic Litigation and Why It Matters

On the occasion of the “10 Days of Activism for MENA Diaspora” and in parallel with the efforts of the diaspora from the Middle East and North Africa to achieve justice through strategic litigation, such as the courts of Koblenz and Frankfurt, which seek justice for the victims of the Syrian regime, Humena for Human Rights and Civic Engagement launches the guide “The Diaspora Paving the Way to Justice - What is strategic litigation, and why it matters?
The guide explains the role of diaspora in strategic litigation, and outlines some of the advantages and disadvantages of strategic litigation, as well as some of the key considerations involved in using litigation to effect broad systemic change. The guide also discusses how diaspora can build effective advocacy campaigns to support the strategic litigation process.
